Faris's start in business came working in his father's textile company which traded throughout Europe, the Middle East and Africa. This gave Faris the opportunity to travel the world and expose himself to new cultures, broadening his horizons and helping him to better understand other people's lifestyles, their work and passions. Faris continues to travel extensively and his work is influenced by the ideas learned on his travels.
Following working with his father, Faris wanted to try his hand at his own business and use some of the extensive business knowledge he had learnt which led to forming a print and photocopy company. Faris managed to grow this small business into a company that employed 45 people across two sites and after fifteen years working in print and photocopying Faris decided it was time for a new challenge and sold the business in a management buyout.
Faris's first venture into property investment came in 2010 with the purchase of an office building in Manchester: a grand building that hadn't received the love it deserved. With a substantial regeneration program, his team breathed new life into the building and returned it to its former glory. There began Faris's passion for property.
